Manufacturer
Whenever we buy anything, there are instructions on
the bottle/carton or in an accompanying sheet/booklet detailing how to use the item.
Whether it is an eye drop telling you how to put that medicine in your eyes or
a kitchen gadget, the manufacturer explains how to use it.
As far as explaining goes, it is required in most
cases so that the consumer can use the product satisfactorily, in some
countries it is mandatory; whereas in some countries manufacturers were
subjected to lawsuits making them vary and therefore going to extreme lengths of explaining.
So far so good, but some manufacturers go a step
further and start explaining the obvious, whereas some go into a lighter vein
and try to crack a joke on the product or instruction sheet.
One manufacturer says – “Remove shells before
eating”. Now who in their right mind would eat the shells ?
Another, a computer company is seriously re-writing
their instructions booklet. This because it has a statement – “Strike Any Key
When Ready." It has received hundreds of calls by people saying that they could
not find the “Any” key.
This can only be in the USA, where people look up
the internet on how to scratch their back. There’s another angle to it in the
USA – manufacturers get sued by consumers over “not being told how to use it” .
This has led courts to awarding hefty fines on manufacturers making the manufacturer vary and issue
detailed instruction on even how to open bottle caps (hold bottle firmly and
rotate cap anti clock-wise) !
We are here to see what some manufacturers do in a
lighter vein.
Here’s a manufacturer cracking a joke if you look at
the bottom of a product …
Here is another one if you look at its bottom ….
Here’s another one that sends a Bat Signal asking
you not to open the bottom side …
Here is one manufacturer who seems keen on giving out fashion tips …
This one greets you with a HI when you open their
carton of yoghurt …
This eatery has some opinion about Trump, but does
not give details …
This one asks you to Chill out for Best results …
This one knows that you are looking for messages, so
declares that there are none …
This manufacturer seems to be a peacenik, so has
printed a message on the bottom of their shoes …
So guys, keep looking. You never know what the cool
cats at the manufacturer’s are trying to tell you - hidden away in that
thingamajig you just bought. It can make your day, discussing with the gang !
